Potential COVID-19 exposure at bar in Lyndon

LYNDON – The Whiteside County Health Department and Bushy’s Bar and Grill in Lyndon are warning of a possible COVID-19 exposure.

The exposure involved a person who is considered contagious and a probable case as a result of contact with that person.

The exposures may have happened July 14 and 20-22.

Patrons are advised to be alert for symptoms of COVID-19, keep social distancing and wear a mask.

Symptoms, which can develop 2-14 days after exposure, may include fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, nausea and vomiting, headache, fatigue, sore throat, diarrhea, loss of taste and smell, congestion or muscle and body aches.

People who may have been exposed can call the health department at 815-626-2230, extension 1216.

People with any symptoms are asked to self-isolate and call the health department.

People with severe symptoms, like persistent pain or trouble breathing, should call 911, explain their symptoms, and explain that they may have been exposed to COVID-19.
