MOUNT CARROLL – Private services are set for a 36-year-old Mount Carroll man found dead beneath the Carroll Creek bridge near Galena Street shortly after 10 a.m. Monday.

An autopsy for Robert Henry Lippert was done Sept. 2. Investigators are awaiting the results of toxicology tests, that normally take a few weeks, Carroll County Coroner Matt Jones said in an email.

Mount Carroll police said foul play is not suspected.

Lippert, who was born in Pekin, attended Peoria High School and loved nature and playing and listening to music, his family said. Among others, he is survived by his mother and stepfather, Joyce and Kevin Marken of Mount Carroll, and his father, Richard Lippert of Pekin.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a private family service will be held at a later date. Law Jones Funeral Homes is handling arrangements. Go to lawjonesfuneralhome.com for his complete obituary.
