Students make wood duck houses

Students at West Carroll High School in Savanna built 30 wood duck houses in teacher Dan Hartman's ag construction class. The materials were donated by Waterfowl USA and West Carroll FFA. Waterfowl USA officers (from left) Chuck Spencer and Ron Kaufman and students show the completed houses. Students measured, glued and painted the houses, with holes, ladders and the FFA and WFUSA logos cut by Hartman's computer numeric control machine. Kaufman and Spencer will deliver the houses to WFUSA members in northwest Illinois. Photo submitted by Hartman.
