50s musical to wrap up TLP subscription season

MOUNT CARROLL – Timber Lake Playhouse’s Summer Subscription Series will end for this year with “Forever Plaid,” running Thursday through Aug. 26 at the theater, 8215 Black Oak Road.

The show features four friends in the 1950s pop band, the “Forever Plaids,” who are killed by a school bus on the way to their first big show. However, the friends are able to present one last posthumous performance.

Playing the Plaids are Trevor Vanderzee as Francis, Ryan Wagner as Jinx, Max Bahneman as Sparky, and Ben Senneff as Smudge. Gregory Daniels will direct and choreograph the show in his Timber Lake debut.

The Deck Series performances on Saturday, Sunday, and Aug. 25 and 26 before those days’ shows will feature food, drink, and entertainment by Timber Lake staff, as well as an appearance by the Plaids.
