DEER GROVE – Gov. Bruce Rauner and a host of other GOP luminaries are slated speak at the Whiteside County Republicans annual Lincoln Day Dinner on Friday at Deer Valley Golf Club, 3298 Hoover Road.
Also scheduled to speak are Rich Morthland of Cordova, candidate for lieutenant governor and a former 71st District state representative; state Rep. Tony McCombie of Savanna, who now represents the 71st; state Sen. Neil Anderson of Andalusia in the 36th District; secretary of state candidate Jason Helland; 17th Congressional candidate Bill Fawell; 89th state House candidates Andrew Chesney and Steve Fricke; and 45th state Senate candidate and current 89th District state Rep. Brian Stewart.
Candidates for Whiteside County sheriff and the Lee-Ogle-Whiteside regional superintendent of schools also are slated to speak.
The keynote speaker will be Erika Harold, attorney general candidate and Miss America 2003.
The social hour begins at 5:30, a dessert auction at 6:30 and dinner at 7 p.m., followed by the program.
