HAZEL GREEN, Wisconsin – Austin Todd Shellhause, 25, of Hazel Green and Lanark, lived life to the fullest, sharing his “go-getter” spirit with friends and family. Whenever he was around, life was fun and full of energy. Austin died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, from injuries suffered in a vehicular accident while working near Cuba City, Wisconsin.
Austin was born Aug. 9, 1992, in Freeport, the son of Todd (Stacey Byer) Shellhause and Gina (Jeff) (White) Hockman. He also loved to hunt, fish, snowmobile, ride dirt bikes, 4-wheelers and his John Deere Gator. He would return to Lanark every week to have a boys’ night with his dad and Uncle Dan at Rack & Wing, along with playing in the Shannon Slow Pitch Summer League. Austin loved being an older brother to Hannah; they enjoyed growing up together and finding their way into and out of mischief.
After graduation from UW Platteville, Austin worked as a technician for Sloan Implement in Cuba City, and was promoted to store manager in 2016. He was a great people person and enjoyed his work and customers.
