The Freeport Police Department would like to express our sincere appreciation for the volunteers at Stephenson County Crime Stop for everything they do for law enforcement, and for the people of Stephenson County. Recently, Stephenson County Crime Stop donated 17 exterior body armor carriers which will allow non-uniform F.P.D. personnel to have access to a body armor set-up that can be put on quickly when needed.

Because of this donation the following F.P.D. Personnel now have one of these valuable exterior body armor carriers: Chief of Police, Deputy Chief, all Lieutenants, all Detective Bureau personnel, all Gang Unit personnel, all Drug Task Force personnel, and the K-9 Officer.
