Special education services discussion planned

STERLING – The Bi-County Special Education Cooperative will meet at 10 a.m. May 24 at the group’s office, 2317 E. Lincolnway, Suite A.

The topic will be to discuss the 11 member districts’ plans to provide special education services to students with disabilities who attend private schools and home schools within the same districts. Member districts include Erie, River Bend, Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico, Sterling, Morrison, East Coloma-Nelson, Rock Falls Elementary 13, Montmorency, Rock Falls High School, Eastland, and Chadwick-Milledgeville.

All parents of home-schooled students who have been identified with disabilities, and who live within the boundaries of the districts are urged to attend.
