Orangeville 7, Eastland 0: The Lady Broncos took a 1-0 lead in the second inning, added 4 more in the third and 2 runs in the seventh to cruise to the shutout in Lanark. Hannah Holland led the Orangeville offense with 3 hits and a pair of runs batted in. Katie Boomgarden took the pitching win. Emma Norton took the pitching loss for Eastland. Erin Henze had 2 hits for the Lady Cougars.

Pearl City 6, AFC 2: The Lady Wolves scored in the first, third, sixth and seventh innings and limited AFC to single runs in the first and fifth to claim the win in Ashton. Taylor Brudi went 3-for-4 at the plate with 3 runs batted in for the Lady Wolves. Tia Clark went 2-for-3 with a 2 base hit and an RBI. She also took the victory in the pitcher’s circle, going the distance and allowing 7 hits with 4 walks and 6 strikeouts.

Eastland 8, Pearl City 6 (8 inn.): The Lady Cougars rallied back after trailing 4-3 after 6 innings. They held a 6-4 lead going into the bottom of the seventh and the Lady Wolves rallied with a pair of runs to send it to extra innings. Eastland plated 2 runs in the top of the eighth and held off Pearl City to claim the win. Jenna Green and Mackenzie Fink led the Eastland offense with each collecting 4 hits. Fink had 3 runs batted in and Green contributed 2.

Milledgeville 31, Freeport Aquin 2 (5 inn.): The Lady Missiles bats erupted for 11 first inning runs, 13 more in the fourth and 7 more runs in the fifth to crush the Lady Bulldogs in Milledgeville. Milledgeville pounded out 18 hits and were aided by 8 Aquin fielding errors.

Eastland 3, Polo 1: Jordan Miller had 2 doubles and 2 RBI to lead the Lady Cougars over Polo. Jenna Green added a double and a run batted in for Eastland, and Makenzie Fink allowed 1 run and 4 hits in a complete game victory, striking out 4 and walking 2. Emily Boelens drove in the run for Polo. Cassie Bushman started and allowed one run and 1 hit in 2 innings, while Sydney Gunder took the pitching loss.

Eastland 9, Pearl City 8: The Lady Cougars took an 8-0 lead after 1 inning and then had to hold off a furious Pearl City comeback to escape with the 1-run victory at home. The Lady Wolves scored 3 in the third and another in the fourth to cut the deficit in half. Eastland scored the eventual game winner in the bottom half of the sixth before Pearl City plated 4 runs in the seventh. The Lady Wolves outhit Eastland 21-13. Kendra Melville led the Pearl City offense going 3-for-5 with 3 runs batted in.

Sterling Newman 6, Erie/Prophetstown 2: The Comets held a 1-0 lead in the second inning and tacked on 5 more runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to take the victory. Erie/Prophetstown scored their 2 runs in the top half of the seventh. Zach Rice and Ricky Rank each went 2-for-3 at the plate for Newman. Nate Olson pitched 6 and 2/3 innings for the win, allowing 6 hits and walking one while striking out 9. Kale Orman took the loss on the mound for E/P.

Pearl City 7, Eastland 0 (forfeit): The unofficial results from this game was the Cougars victorious over the Wolves by a 6-1 score. Pearl City filed a protest with the IHSA concerning the new pitch count rule and due to an Eastland pitcher throwing over the legal pitches allocated the Wolves were awarded the win by forfeit.

West Carroll 7, Le-Win 6 (8 inn.): The game was tied at one run apiece after 3 innings and was knotted again at 6-6 after 5 innings. The Thunder managed to push a run across the plate in the bottom half of the eighth inning to claim the narrow victory.

Eastland 11, Polo 1 (6 inn.) The Cougars picked up the run rule shortened victory at home over the Marcos.

West Carroll 2, Erie/Prophetstown 1: The Thunder managed to push the winning run across the plate in the bottom half of the eighth inning to edge the Panthers at home.

Sterling Newman 9, Milledgeville 2: Travis Williams went 3-for-4 with a 2-base hit, 3 RBI and 2 runs scored as the Comets took the victory at home. Newman also got a big game from Chase Graham who singled 3 times, scored twice and drove in a run. Luke Olson, Nick Clevenger and KC Knack each had 2 hits. Luke Olson toss 6 scoreless innings and allowed 4 hits and 3 walks while striking out 9 Milledgeville hitters.

West Carroll 10, Le-Win 5: The Thunder took a 5-1 lead after the first inning and added 5 more in the final 2 innings to roll over the Panthers in Lena. The Plattenberger twins each had 2 hits and 2 runs batted in. Cody Simpson took the victory on the mound.

Freeport Aquin 8, Milledgeville 3: The Bulldogs beat the Missiles for the second time in three days at Highland Community College.

Erie/Prophetstown 7, Sterling Newman 6 (9 inn.): The Panthers erased a 6-run deficit in their last at bat of regulation, then got a 2-out, bases loaded walk-off RBI single from Justice Cole in the bottom of the ninth to beat the Comets at Prophetstown.

Sherrard 6, Morrison 2: Playing as the home team on the road didn’t help the Mustangs as they fell to the Tigers. After the game was moved because of wet field conditions in Morrison, the Mustangs saw a one run lead dissolve after Sherrard scored 3 runs in the fourth.

Forreston 8, AFC 0: The Raiders managed just a pair of hits in the conference loss in Ashton. Brandon Schneiderman went 3-for-3 with 3 runs batted in for the Cardinals. Josh Flick struck out a dozen Raider batters and walked 2 in the 2-hit win.
