MOUNT CARROLL – A benefit for a longtime Lanark bank employee with cancer begins at 4 p.m. April 29 at Henry’s Double K, 834 S. Jackson St.
Deb (Drehmer) Larem, 54, of Mount Carroll, has worked for more than 30 years at Exchange State Bank.
The mother of two, a Lanark High School graduate, was diagnosed in the fall with stage 4 breast cancer and has undergone chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
Raffle tickets for a quarter of beef or a Ducks Unlimited print are available now at the bank at 26 N. Broad St. The beef raffle tickets are $10 each; the print tickets are $5 each or $20 for five.
The fundraiser will feature a pulled pork meal for $7, a silent auction and a live auction at 7 p.m. that includes a pair of Chicago Cubs tickets, an Amish quilt, a gas grill, antiques, and gift certificates.
Monetary donations can be made to the Deb Larem Care Package and dropped off at the bank.
